Hotel Century

Great hotel, central location, but quiet. One of the main tram lines 🚋 is behind the building (cannot hear it). Great ambiance with the large stylish lobby . The rooms are larger than most other hotels in Geneva. Staff is genuinely friendly and very helpful 👍.

The hotel is 4star but old 4star, Clean, good staff, some far about city center but buses are ok and the hotel gives you free transfer till the 5:00 of the day after your departure , just be aware if you are euro citizen your simcards should be charged for roaming because switzerland is not in euro. Dont reserve the minimums the minimums like 225 room is full of facility sounds from 6 oclock

Great location and friendly service desk. On the wall by the entrance is the four star rating, but inside lurked a differant story with the room decor straight out of the early seventies. Putting that aside, I got ready for bed and lay there sweltering, wondering if this was the onset of dengue fever. But no, it was the room thermostat set at 27c. Try as I might, the temperature would not budge. Giving up and with sweat blurring my vision I thought I would turn it off, but no, the off switch had been broken off. If only I had my MacGyver swiss army knife on hand. Gasping, I weaved my way like a listing galleon to open the window, which did indeed help with the heat. However, I did not realise that outside the hotel is the Geneva version of the circus maximus, raced by scooters with holes drilled in their exhausts. There is nothing like the scream of a two stroke flat out with no silencer going past your window at 40km/h to lull you to sleep. Would not recommend.
