A hotel for a weekend getaway is perfect if you don’t have high expectations. The room and bathroom are small, but the air conditioning works well, which is a big plus when temperatures are high in June. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. You won’t find bottled water in the room, but there is a water dispenser by the reception that you can use :) As for transportation, it’s just a 3-minute walk to the Termini metro and bus station :)
If I could give the hotel Champagne no stars, I would! This is 100% not 4 stars. I've stayed in cleaner, better hostels in the 80s. The aircon didn't work, the place was dirty and it needs renovating. The bathroom had mould around the shower tray. The shower itself didn't drain very well so it overflowed. There was a broken electrical switch in the shower would you believe. The walls and ceilings were covered in marks and needed painting. I switched my bedside light on and it fell upside down. They supplied a kettle but no T or coffee which is not a big deal but when we asked for some cups they said there are plastic cups in the bathroom. Which I didn't even try making a cuppa in, as they would have melted, they were that thin, basically mouth-rinsing cups. The Asian lady on the reception was not very welcoming and grumpy, not what you need when you have been lugging luggage around all day in 38 degrees, I would sack her if it were my hotel but the Indian dude was pleasant and worth keeping! It needs a ramp at the front door for suitcases. It made it hard work on arrival climbing the steps with 6 suitcases between 3 people. The only time they changed the towels in 4 days, was when we asked. The beds were like sleeping on bricks and the hotel stinks of cigarette smoke as soon as you walk in. End result, I don't recommend it. The only plus side was that it's 5 minutes from Rome Termini train station but I would rather walk a bit more for a better hotel.
The Worst Hotel Experience We’ve Ever Had – Definitely Not 4 Stars! This was by far the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed at, and calling it a 4-star is completely misleading. The walls were filthy and scratched, the bathroom was dirty to the point that germs were clearly visible, and the soap holder in the shower was rusted. It felt unhygienic and poorly maintained throughout. They only provided two tiny shampoo packets and one bar of soap—and even after room cleaning, no new toiletries or even fresh towels were given. Not even basic hospitality! We asked for a spoon, and they didn’t have a single one to offer. The reception staff were incredibly rude, barely responsive, and came off as blatantly discriminatory. The entire experience was awful from start to finish. This place isn’t even up to motel standards. Absolutely stay away—don’t waste your money or ruin your trip.
