Hotel Chiaia Di Luna

Ponza is a beautiful location, and Hotel Chiaia di Luna is the place to stay! The staff are so kind, and go above and beyond to help you navigate the island's quirks, and make your stay more special. We loved the beautiful view, the shuttle to and from the port, the connection to the Vespa company, cappucinos, the bathtub, and the no-frills breakfast.

We have stayed here three times. Excellent location with easy access to the port. Stunning views. Front desk staff are delightful and super helpful. The multi-star rating, however, has to be taken within the context of Ponza, and not the world. The rooms are small, the room decor is far from brand new. Some amenities that we would expect from highly-rated hotels elsewhere in Italy (body lotion, hair conditioner, toiletries set, terry-cloth slippers, fitness center, access to an iron and ironing board) are not available at this hotel, so come prepared. This is probably more consistent with the island (old-school charm and few frills) itself, rather than a negative mark for the hotel. We rate this hotel multi-star within the context of the island itself and not from the perspective of global standards.
