Hotel Cigarral Domenico

A charming hotel with a wonderful location and atmosphere. The rooms are truly evocative and full of character, making the stay very special for our family. The only downsides were the restaurant’s quality-to-price ratio and portion sizes, and the absence of tea and coffee-making facilities in the room. Overall, a memorable and pleasant stay.

The hotel is very nice and modern with a good view. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The disappointment was food, the restaurant has very limited opening times, and the food options is extremely poor, definitely one of the worst experiences in regards to food. You cannot bring food from outside, which does not help, they force you to eat in the hotel with a very limited menu. There is no transfer to the city/train terminal, which nowadays most hotels offer. Since there is no much food options, and they don't allow you to bring food, they should either, facilitate with a transfer for you to go to the city/restaurants of greatly improve the restaurant menu and hours. The overall cost-benefit it's not worth it. The highlight was the room and staff, but they should work on the restaurant and accessibility.

For a hotel run by a top chef the food was appalling. And you can’t bring any food into the hotel, so when here you are stuck with what they have as there isn’t anything else walking distance. We arrived at 3.45 after a 7 hour journey to be told lunch had just finished and dinner wasn’t until 8. Seeing as we couldn’t bring food into the hotel we had to go hungry. The staff were great, but the room and restaurants were very disappointing
