Great hotel with a very nice wellness area in the basement, which covers the entire floor area of the hotel. On the cold days when we were there, we were able to warm up with a ready-made mulled wine in the lobby. We can only recommend it and would definitely come back if our destination was Friedrichshafen.
The hotel location was ideal for the city and walk ability. I reserved this hotel 5 months in advance to arrive n hour before check in to be placed in the wrong down graded room and was told they were sorry but they are over booked and it’s all they could do. After speaking with the front desk a little longer I was moved into the correct room I paid for. I nearly paid $1100 for 3 nights and was going to be put in the smaller downgraded room unless I said something which doesn’t feel ethical to me. The rooms themselves are nice but you get one very flat pillow and which you have to ask for extras and the beds are ROCK hard. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel for couple of reasons: - No parking available all the time. First come, first serve which in 2025 is absolutely unacceptable. Couple of ladies on the reception were absolutely unfriendly with no desire to solve issues or make you feel welcomed in the hotel. We were in a room with a kitchen which was locked. Who locks the kitchen, absolutely moronic take! If you're thinking that you know the typical cold German attitude, wait until you face the staff in this hotel (I am talking about the ladies on the reception). The swimming pool is no bigger that 5x8 meters, which is back garden pool. The pictures of the pool are on their website and on Booking are deceptive and untrue! There is air condition in the room, but no remote control for it (wtf). In one room there is a kettle, but in the next room to yours doesn't. + The breakfast was great. The location is great. Rooms are good, but for example the sink was leaking in ours, there was no light in the room whatsoever, because there is no light bulbs. Better spend your money in Italy, Austria, Croatia. This place is not worthy.
