I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel City. The hotel stands out for its excellent location, cleanliness, and simplicity. What made the experience even better was the genuine hospitality of all the staff. Every single one of them was kind and professional. I didn’t have time to learn everyone’s names, but I especially remember Mr. Alex and Ms. Salome (apologies if I got the name wrong), who were both incredibly dedicated and proactive in helping us. The hotel is in a lively yet quiet area, away from the city noise but close to everything. When you step outside and turn left, you’ll reach a street that takes you in two great directions. Going right leads you to the vibrant old town, and from there it's less than a 10-minute walk to the Bridge of Peace. Turning left takes you straight to Freedom Square in about two minutes, then to the elegant Shota Rustaveli Avenue and Galleria Tbilisi, a busy and modern shopping center with a great outdoor atmosphere. It's important to always evaluate a hotel based on its category and level. My review is based on this understanding, and within its class, Hotel City performs very well. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a stay that combines comfort, convenience, and warm service

We stayed at the City Hotel from March 9th to 11th for a business trip. The hotel's location is excellent, and the price is reasonable. However, I had much higher expectations for a hotel ranked 42 out of 463. Our room was poorly designed, lacking proper and organic layout. Thankfully, the receptionist was kind enough to provide us with a better room on the second night. The hotel's breakfast is extremely poor. It's genuinely low quality and lacks variety. The only significant positive aspect of this hotel is the exceptionally friendly and helpful receptionist named Salome (on the morning shift). Unfortunately, the other staff members on different shifts do not match Salome's level of service. Additionally, the bed and pillow quality was terrible. Towels were inconveniently placed, and the room furniture is in dire need of renovation. Regrettably, this hotel has been removed from my list of potential accommodations for future trips to Tbilisi.

The hotel looks nothing like the pictures they put on Google. The reality was the pictures I have added here - surrounded by scaffolding. We had scaffolding surrounding our room put up with an hour or two of checking into the hotel, and the ongoing sound of building works without any warning. Despite it being off season and the hotel having other empty rooms, the hotel refused to move us to another room unless we paid additional amounts per night. More so the entire hotel experience was so cheap and frugal, they wouldn't even replace basic amenities like coffees teas and body wash. Further, our hotel bathroom had a major sewage smell emanating - the only thing they could provide was an almost empty spray bottle to cover up the stench. Further the water supply at the hotel stopped working, and they could only provide us with two small bottles of water.
