Hotel COCO Phuket Bangtao

The people here are really friendly. There is a lot of renovation happening in the hotel - I feel like it'll be a really good hotel in a year or so. The pool is very nice. Our room is nice and clean but could do with a couch (there seems to be a space for it). My parent's room had a floor that was constantly wet (we all suspect it's due to the air conditioning). Once they complained, staff were very quick to act and moved them to a much bigger room with a kitchen and ensuite living room - it's very nice. The location is not the most convenient but the island is small enough that everything is close enough with a taxi ride. Overall, this was a good price point for what we got - just one night's stay before we fly out tomorrow

The facilities are aging and the rooms not thoroughly cleaned. Our room was very humid with a strong smell of mold. We've been asked to deposit a thousand baths when asking for an extra blanket.

3 star hotel at best. Really poor hotel both in the quality of the service they provide and the room. Staff were nice enough but clearly not highly trained in hospitality. Breakfast is of low quality as are the room furnishings and toiletries they provide. We stay only two nights so didn’t put up a fuss to change rooms but wish we did. The room reeked of mould the bed especially. Poor paint job to cover up damage near the air con unit. The hotel was nowhere near full so not sure why they would use that room. Kitchen cupboards were dirty and stained all over the room when you looked closely. The pools were clean and nice, the bar limited but the gym was reasonably resourced.
