Hotel Concierge Plaza Colima

If you want quiet this is not it because it's in the downtown but if you want somewhere that's awesome to walk around down town from this is the spot. Waking up to the church bells and birds chirping in the trees is a beautiful morning. Going downstairs for breakfast and just listening to the traffic and birds and relaxing in Mexico is the perfect morning before a walk to all the local shops. The AC works the water is hot and has plenty of pressure. If you want quiet again this is not the spot. If they have an event in the square YOU WILL HEAR IT. But we slept through it when it was time for bed even if it went on until 2am. Sabora Fest 2025 was an awesome experience also.

We had a great stay! Reception allowed us to leave our belongings with them as we arrived in the city hours prior to our check in. They check us in 2 hours before check in time with no charge. We slept well in spite of the short earthquake earlier in the day. We were initially disappointed that there was no window that can be opened in the room but we warmed up to the space. Our room was quite spacious with a queen bed. The air-condition was quiet, it was spitting out water but was fixed right away after it’s been reported. Location is great with lots of restaurants nearby. Great square across the street with lush plants and trees, birds of different kinds very active and entertaining. Our room was quiet during the night. There were leaves in the pool, we just came from a place where the pool was maintained well. Gym and weight room at the back. Staff speaks English and very helpful and friendly.

I love Colima so it’s difficult to write and share a bad review. However, this hotel is probably not suitable for Americans who are used to the basic American standard for hotels. Our room, a suite, was small and cluttered. The bathroom was the worst experience. Extremely small, no hot water, very little light and an a very low toilet. The bathroom doors are almost entirely glass (see through) and was located about 12 inches from the bed. We stayed for four days and only once did some clean the floors; which were very dirty. The air conditioning and television was great. The elevator made me very nervous. Not sure when the last time it was inspected. The staff (with one obnoxious exception) was nice. Stay in this hotel only if you are accustomed to traveling off the beaten path; otherwise you may want to consider another option. I hope they will improve.
