Hotel Continental

The hotel was really great. We were here on holiday. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything was extremely clean and the breakfast had lots of variety and was delicious. The location is also great. It's only a few minutes' walk to the harbour to catch the ferry to Sicily, right next to Lido train station, 15 minutes to the beach and various beach clubs and 10 minutes to the shopping street.

This hotel bills itself as a "luxury" hotel and, being close to a port in a less travelled tourist spot I was doubtful but I think they make the grade. We stayed in the suite (family of 4)and we had plenty of space and a huge private terrace for c£200 per night. The bathroom was maybe a little less elegant than luxury but on the whole I was very impressed. Where the hotel really stands out is service. They have a great WhatsApp based service which is essentially instant service 24/7. I've stayed in extremely expensive 5* hotels which with less competent and responsive service. Extremely impressive.

We stayed two nights due to an issue with our original hotel, and we couldn’t have been more grateful for the experience. The staff were incredibly kind and accommodating, going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The front desk staff even offered to make us espresso before the kitchen was open for our early morning flight. When our originally booked taxi didn’t show up, they quickly arranged another one to get us to the airport on time. The location is fantastic—within walking distance to the port and the main shopping and dining areas. Highly recommend!
