Hotel Corallo Sorrento

This hotel was our first stop on our two-week long family vacation (me, my husband and our two kids 21 and 18), and it really set the standard by which the rest of our hotels were judged. We entered through a spacious lobby, outfitted with comfortable pink and striped couches, with an adjoining glass-encased atrium with a beautiful sea view from the clifftops. We were welcomed with a lovely drink on the terrace while our rooms were prepared. We had asked for two rooms near each other and we were given two adjacent rooms off a little hall of their own with balconies overlooking the hotel terraces and the sea. The rooms were sized okay, and both had a coral theme. Ours had a beautiful deep red and coral headboard, while our kids’ room had coral with blue accents. The bathrooms had very little counter space, and the shower in our room, and bathtub in the kids’ room both had some issues with inadequate doors that caused a bit of water leakage. Both had bidets and lovely thick towels, with lots of bathroom amenities. The beds were quote comfortable, and the balconies were each outfitted with two wrought-iron chairs and a table, and they had cushions for the chairs in the room’s closet. The hotel service was great, and offered a shuttle to the bus station in downtown Sorrento, which we took full advantage of. The hotel breakfast was very lovely, with pastries, breads, a variety a fruits, meats, cheeses, salad, yogurt, cereals, jams, hot vegetables, plus eggs, sausages, bacon and baked beans. I started each morning with a cappuccino, and they gave me another one to go! It was truly a five-star experience and I’d recommend this lovely hotel to others.

The views from this hotel are simply unmatched—breathtaking at every turn. Our room was beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with a balcony overlooking the sea that we’ll never forget. The food was delicious every day, from the generous breakfast to unforgettable dinners with a view. A huge thank you to Mario, the head waiter, for his attentive and professional service, and to Nello, the concierge/manager, who made every detail of our stay smooth and special. The entire staff went above and beyond. Thank you all for making our experience so memorable. We can’t wait to come back!

It was a pleasure to be in such a beautiful hotel. We had a room (249) with the largest balcony with a view of the open sea and a fantastic sunset. The pool and bar are terraces with the same view. The hotel is full of details and interesting furniture. The advantage is that there is also a shuttle bus that goes to the city center. And right next to the hotel, street electric bicycles can be rented and in 5, 6 minutes you are in the center.
