Hotel Cultura Plaza

A great place to stay and it’s close to everything. The staff is very friendly. If they didn’t know English well enough, the staff and I had a great laugh trying to use translation apps. The rooms are nice with very comfortable beds. The breakfast is so delicious as well!

Very good price for a very good location. Breakfast was fine. The rooms were good: AC, mini fridge, ceiling fan, decent view, hot showers (after staying at various economic hotels throughout our stay in CR it was needed), beds were quite comfy too. I was kinda worried after seeing other reviews of Booking.com users but this hotel was overall really good.

Unfortunately I can’t give a true rating of room as never got to stay here. Storms meant our plane had to divert to another location and therefore weren’t going to make it on time. I contacted hotel and tried to change date to next day. Declined. I asked for a credit to change to later date when we would be leaving Costa Rica. Declined. They were not willing to discuss or negotiate anything. Disappointing. First hotel we have experienced no flexibility or understanding of situation. Be aware if booking here.
