Hotel Cumbres San Pedro de Atacama

Hotel Cumbres San Pedro de Atacama offers a peaceful and comfortable stay just outside the centre of town. The bed was exceptionally comfy, and the room was quiet which is exactly what you need after long days exploring the desert. The food was very good, with a different special menu each night, which kept things interesting. However, I was put off by the persistent requests for tips at every meal. On one occasion, after finishing a self-service breakfast, a staff member asked if we wanted tea or coffee as we were getting up to leave, and then asked for a tip – which felt inappropriate as she hadn’t been present for the entire breakfast. I considered marking the hotel down for this, but ultimately, sleep quality matters most to me, and in that regard, Cumbres delivered. An almost perfect five stars.

Love this hotel so much, very clean, good location and very friendly staff. Love their spa massage service too. The restaurant food was amazing also. We had dinner here for a couple of nights and it was so good. They have plenty of parking. Room service is very clean. Breakfast is good, they have lot of choices including vegans and non dairy products. Would stay here again next time we are back.

The hotel was beautiful, although it lacked maintenance. However, the service was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! Rude staff. They really made us feel like we were bothering every time we came to ask them anything or for anything. They don't know what customer service is. The restaurant menu lacks variety. On Christmas we asked if they were hosting any special event and they told us the restaurant had a special dinner but reservations were closed already. When we asked how we were supposed to know about the reservation they said they had sent an email which they never sent to us. I cannot describe how unhelpful their staff is. do NOT stay there.
