A very fine hotel. We ended up staying here last minute due to a bit of a travel mess. The room setup was a little strange and we struggled with good temperature control. The staff were really great. The pool is neat though it can be hard to find a spot to sit. The food at the hotel is just ok but it is near a lot of restaurant choices so no big deal. The proximity to the beach is FANTASTIC and it's a short drive to the old town. Parking is in a public garage but is convenient to the hotel. It was a perfect spot for a surprise 2 nights in the city.
The hotel is exceptional. Extremely good value for money. All areas are spotless both inside and outside- pool arrangement is superb - in terms of towels, food, drinks. The breakfast and dinner are varied and all beautifully presented- from fruit, to all sorts of milk - soy, almond etc- every taste is catered for. Authentic Spanish food- cooked fresh as required. Our room was a sea view so we were able to hear the entertainment in the evening but it finished early so as not to disturb sleep- if you wanted more life fabulous bar serving cocktails on the roof open to 2am. The only criticism I have is that there was a desperate smell on the room on entering- like stagnant drains- that reception staff attempted to resolve really quickly but unfortunately it returned. Still, it didn't damper our stay- we weren't in the room much! Will definitely return and recommend to others.
Our overall experience at this hotel was below average. While the rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, the temperature in our room was uncomfortably warm throughout our stay. Despite several calls to the front desk, the issue was never properly resolved. The hotel’s prime location—just minutes from the beach—is its biggest selling point. Unfortunately, that’s where most of the positives end. The breakfast buffet was a major letdown. Not only was the selection disappointing for a hotel of this size, but the hygiene was concerning. Guests were seen coughing and using shared utensils without oversight, making the entire setup feel unsanitary. If you’re hoping for an omelet, be prepared to wait upwards of 30 minutes. The gym was another low point—it resembled a basement more than a fitness facility, with no mirrors, minimal equipment, poor ventilation, and worst of all, multiple dead cockroaches on the floor. Truly unacceptable. The front desk staff was polite but not particularly helpful or proactive. Had it not been for the clean room and excellent location, this hotel would be closer to a 2-star rating. Unfortunately, it misses the mark on too many basics to recommend.
