Hotel D Bulle La Gruyère

We stayed at Hôtel D Bulle for one night during our road trip through Switzerland and it was such a lovely surprise. The hotel has a calm, elegant vibe with a beautifully designed lobby and cozy common areas. There’s even a co-working space, perfect if you need to catch up on emails between cheese tastings! Our room was spacious and bright, with a comfy bed and a sitting area that made it easy to relax. The wall behind the bed had a beautiful mural of the surrounding landscape, a really nice touch. The bathroom was clean and well-equipped, and we appreciated the high-quality toiletries. Breakfast was delicious, with a nice variety and great coffee. Staff was friendly and helpful throughout. Bonus points for the underground parking and the great location, just a short drive from Gruyères. Would definitely stay here again if we’re back in the region!

I was pleasantly surprised by how elegant and modern Hotel D in Bulle is. The rooms are beautifully designed—minimalist, but very cozy—and the beds are incredibly comfortable. I appreciated the thoughtful touches like the coffee machine, spacious bathroom, and blackout curtains (slept like a baby!). The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the center of Bulle with easy access to restaurants, shops, and the Gruyères region. The staff were friendly, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. This hotel is a true gem for anyone visiting the region. I’ll absolutely stay here again!

I was really impressed with our stay here. There were really not that many options up in Gruyère, so to find this just a train stop away was a relief. The location couldn’t be better. It’s literally right next to the train station, in a large building with a grocery store, pharmacy, and some restaurants and shops. I also really enjoyed the breakfast buffet (book the day before to save ~30%). The highlight though is the service. Everyone is extremely friendly, both at reception and at the restaurant area. We primarily worked with Marc at reception, and he was so kind and attentive. We felt very welcomed, and we would stay here again in a heartbeat.
