Hotel Dafam Wonosobo

I chose this hotel for the Dieng Caldera Race. The room was very spacious, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff were incredibly helpful. But what really makes me want to come back is the ambience at their restaurant- feasting on their food with the shy peak of Mount Sindoro quietly standing in the background. Oh, and they even provided early breakfast—not just early, but 3:30 a.m. early—because they understand that most of their guests are DCR participants. That kind of thoughtfulness really stands out.

Pros : 1. Friendly staff and quick service. 2.Beautiful view with mountains, mini waterfall, and river all together. 3. Nice and clean room. Contemporary and hip style, fit for youngster. 4. Breakfast quite tasty. Cons : 1. It's said to be a 4-star hotel, but for me it looked and felt like a 3-star. The building, facade and lobby area so small. 2. Parking area actually quite spacious but the access to go down there is too small only fit 1 car. 3. The stairs, hallway, restaurant, meeting rooms, all too dark. Black colored concrete all the way. 4. Swimming pool too deep for little kid eventhough there are 2 separate pools. 1.5m and 1.35 m. They provide lIfe jacket but all in big size. 5. The mountain view room is overpriced. I know it's the view they're selling but for that kind/standard of hotel is not worth the price. 6. Breakfast menu like a 3-star. Limited selection of food. 7. Not elderly/senior friendly. So many stairs. If you wanna go to the resto you must go down that dark, narrow, and steep stairs. No other way. To go to the pool you must go down another stairs. There are still other stairs to go.

Dirty bedsheets with yellow stains in all rooms! We entered the room and saw that the bedsheets had yellow stains. It took more than an hour for them to replace them with ‘clean’ sheets. These were as dirty as the initial ones. We asked them to provide clean ones which took more than 3 hours. After having seen a third and fourth pair (and another room), we noticed that this hotel (a 4!!! star hotel) does not have clean sheets. Luckily, after discussing for several more hours, we got a refund and could leave the day after. A note to management: fix the basics before getting into the details! Nice view in the restaurant though.
