Hotel Danieli Pozzallo

Extremely friendly stuff. Simple but but room and beautiful swimming pool. Also very quiet.

We arrived last night . No reservation. Spontaneous decision/ we got a lovely room. Understanding they ll close in a week, season end, the owners made our stay very nice Good Breakfast Nice location

Our stay was pleasant, but not extraordinary. Not sure why this hotel is marketed as 4-stars, as it is lagging behind even lower category hotels in terms of amenities, room equipment and client centricity. Our room was located on the ground floor, with direct access to the pool. It was quite minimalistic but clean and well maintained. However, except for the two complementary bottles of water there was nothing in addition. No complementary coffee or tea, not even a kettle to boil water. It would be also nice to include information about local points of interests or restaurants, or at least the menu for the hotel's restaurant. In addition, the wifi connection was slow and unstable. The pool is not heated so its suitable for swimming during warm months only. There is also no service by the pool. During our entire stay no one ever asked us if we need anything or if everything is fine. The receptionist also didn't make us feel welcome as she was just too formal and without a hint of a smile. The opposite needs to be stated about the cleaning and restaurant staff who were very efficient and friendly. Both the dinner and breakfast were a pleasant surprise. The food was tasty and well prepared and a good value for money. The breakfast was actually plentiful and varied. The hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, but this we didn't mind as we had a rental car. Overall, we felt that the owners/management are just doing the bare minimum and not trying or caring enough. From a hotel of this category we simply expect much more.
