Hotel Dann Carlton Bogota

This used to be a great hotel however, due to lack of maintenance, the couches in public areas and most furnishing throughout the property are sagging, scratched and dirty. The bathroom door in my room wouldn’t close unless strenuous pressure was applied to it and when it finally closed the noise was so loud that will wake up the person still in bed. Upon arrival I requested a room where traffic and other exterior noise wouldn’t affect our stay. The front desk personnel assured me that the building is fitted with sound proof windows. To our displeasure, the very next morning around 6 am. we were awaken to a loud sound of wooden paddles hitting tennis balls. In effect, right under our window there is a huge tent housings two tennis-racket ball-pickleball courts (I must admit I had never seen played the sport they practice there but is definitely a mix of those three mentioned). After complaining to the front desk they said that that sports center doesn’t belong to the hotel and there was nothing they could do. The noise of paddles hitting the balls, the yelling and cursing of the players will start early in the morning and many times it will continue until around 11:30 pm. My greatest disappointment came at check out time when they charge me for the tooth paste and the tooth brush placed in the bathroom. I know it’s just a couple of dollars but it’s the principle behind it. I have stayed in lower rated hotel and have never been charge for toiletries. Not all was bad though, I have to thank the personnel at the restaurant, front desk and concierge, they are all really nice and friendly people, ready to go out of their way to please you. Thank you!!!

First room was extremely noisy due to a party that ends at 2am! Second room was outdated, smelly, and toilet would not stop running all night. Location isn't great either. Wouldn't go back!

Horrible service from manager Ricardo. We had to cancel our reservation in advance due to the hotel being too far from the us embassy (reason for our trip) as we were traveling with a 3 month old. Ricardo refused to help in any way and charged us the full amount of the stay even though we did not stay at the hotel and called to cancel before the dates of reservation. He even pretended to not speak English, ridiculous, he was so rude I can’t believe he is employed in the hospitality industry, he has no idea what hospitality means.
