Hotel David Whitney Autograph Collection

Stayed here for three nights with my husband and had the best time. We booked a room for ourselves and one for my husband’s grandmother. All around we were all very pleased! The hotel is extremely clean and well cared for. The staff members were all phenomenal. We loved chatting with Kevin at the bar and learning more about the building and the city! The hotel’s design is stunning. True to the building’s character and history. We certainly will be staying here again next time we visit Detroit!

We recently hosted a brunch at the David Whitney Hotel, and everything about the experience was exceptional.....from start to finish. Terez at valet went above and beyond to accommodate my vehicle, starting the day off with kindness and professionalism that set the tone for the rest of the event. Anthony stood out not just for how dapper he looked (our guests couldn’t stop commenting!), but for his welcoming presence and the way he carried himself as a true representative of the hotel’s elegance and standard of service. He helped us carry flowers up to the event space and took the heavy lifting off of my plate which was such a win. On the catering side, Kim and Sonja were absolutely on it; attentive, efficient, and made sure every detail of the food service was seamless and well-executed. Guests were happy, well-fed, and impressed. We can’t wait to return and work another event here soon. The David Whitney team truly made our brunch feel elevated and special. Highly recommend!

Detroit is typically not my favorite place to visit. But if I’m staying at the David Whitney… I will not complain about returning! This is one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in for a long time. The building and decor are beautiful. The staff was always so helpful even when we had to go hunt down my package deliveries. The rooms are actually very spacious and have more of an apartment feel vs. a standard hotel room. Wood floors, carpets, large windows. Plus, the people mover has a stop at this building. Which made it so convenient to get around the city, especially in the rain. I will be back and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Detroit.
