Hotel de Bodegas Hacienda Albae

Rural luxury at its best. Lovely discovery during our drive around Spain, for both accommodation and experience. The location is off the motorway outside a small sleepy town. It's surrounded by vineyard, so if you want quiet, this is it. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms modern. We had a very interesting tour of the bodega and wine tasting session and a delicious, top-notch set dinner after that. Loved the grilled cod main, prawn on flaky pastry and tender squid potato cake starters (yes, you get both starters!). The kids loved their chicken noodle soup starter, done the way I loved, growing up. The wine was good and there is a lot of variety produced here. Breakfast was a wide variety of pastries, cold cuts and fresh fruit. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We would have loved to stay more than one night but we'd arranged to meet friends in Madrid the next day (the one fixed appointment in our otherwise free and easy 12-day visit), but we'll definitely stay here again next time we're in the area.

Cozy hotel and staff friendly.

A perfect place for a couple. The Hacienda is in the middle of the countryside, surrounded by vineyards. The rooms are beautiful and very spacious. The winery tour, wine tasting, and dinner were spectacular. At dinner, we even had the chance to try a wine we hadn't tasted at the tasting. The breakfast was very filling.
