Hotel De Diane

Great hotel in a beautiful setting near to the sea and a restaurant or two. Their own food is exceptional, as you would expect from a hotel of this quality. Alcoholic drinks a little expensive though!

The hotel was built in 1925 and has been beautifully renovated over the last few years bringing it into the 21st century. The drop off area is great for unloading and there is then plenty of space to park next to the hotel. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The lounges had been tastefully decorated and a locally made chandelier hanging in the restaurant. The garden decking is south facing so plenty of sun with areas of shade from the well positioned trees. They have a good wine list and the service is excellent. Breakfast is serve yourself with a good selection of things to eat and drink. The hotel restaurant is very good. The freshly made food was perfect and the service was not intrusive and always there when it was needed. The town is small so you can walk everywhere and it is easy to drive to nearby places where there is plenty to see. We will be staying at this hotel again and we have already told our friends about it.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel after reading some reviews on one of the main hotel booking sites. The hotel is 300m from a very good beach and near numerous cafés and restaurants. Rooms and bathrooms are adequate for a four star. Reception, bar/restaurant very nice. Good choice for breakfast catering for both British and continental palates. Don't be put off by some of the reviews, it's a nice place to stay. It didn't have air conditioning in my room, but there are large windows and a fan so it's easy to get the room cool at night. Staff are very nice and attentive.
