We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! Getting there by bike was easy and enjoyable, with a beautiful, well-maintained path through the woods. Both the bike and car roads felt safe and comfortable. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. They even helped us carry our things to the room, which was clean, spacious, and warm—ideal for our family with a baby. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like the small welcome gifts for our little one. At the Wildbar, the friendly staff made us feel like old friends. Their warm hospitality really stood out and added to the overall positive experience. Breakfast was A M A Z I N G—the best I’ve had in a long time! The buffet was rich and varied, with fresh milk, real butter, and delicious bread among others. The spa area was lovely, with a warm room and a swimming pool (though the water could be a bit warmer). The gym was also well equipped and clean. And the natural surroundings were just stunning—peaceful and refreshing. Only downside: there was no refrigerator in the room, which would have been helpful, especially with a baby. Overall, we were very satisfied and would definitely come back again!
A 5 star hotel rating is a bit odd here though, there is no heating control in the room, bathroom looks unfinished because of lacking of ‘where to hang your towels’ or ‘soap in the shower is missing’, electricity sockets are not logically placed and there is barely light. Nevertheless, the staff is super kind and helpful plus the restaurant experience was magnificent. Overall a pleasant stay.
Stayed for a one-night getaway, on the way to a family outing. The location is ever so lovely with your route in/out taking you through some lovely forest scenery. Even though the hotel is right on the main road, our room was quiet, overlooking a little pond and courtyard. I was fortunate to have the “spa” all to myself, which really just consists of a small traditional sauna and small indoor pool, both much like you’d encounter at a higher end gym. Having the spa area for myself was blissful, but if any other guests would’ve been around it wouldn’t have been comfortable. We had a standard room which was much bigger than most premium rooms at major hotel chains’ Europe locations, and had a great separate bath tub, double-head shower, and separate toilet. Toilet paper was single-ply, very odd for a luxury-branded hotel. The provided bathrobe was hard and rough as sandpaper, some dryer sheets and fabric softener wouldn’t be a bad addition to your laundry room! Service was well intended but clearly lacked sufficient staffing. Front desk wasn’t staffed multiple times (couldn’t get a dental kit after forgetting my own toothbrush), and breakfast staff was on a skeleton crew. Breakfast options were already very limited: machine coffee (no barista), limited fruit options, no plant based yoghurts, no hot vegetable options like potatoes, limited baked options. Because what looked like short staffing (two waiters bussing the entire restaurant), the vast majority of items was out and took forever to refill, made-to-order items were available but the waiters on staff were hard to flag down. Service was definitely with a smile, but breakfast was truly unacceptable for the premium, especially at a hotel that’s already brandishing a generously rated 5stars… could be back but definitely not for the breakfast.
