Hotel de la Poste

Beautiful old world hotel in the heart of Cortana. Bathrooms are modernized, but the rooms still maintained tons of old world charm. Make sure you get a room with a balcony. Wi-Fi in the rooms wasn’t too powerful but tolerable. There were lots of antiquities scattered throughout the halls of the hotel that were beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were extremely friendly. I’m not sure if there was air-conditioning in the rooms so if that’s important, you should check in advance.

This is really the best hotel to stay in Cortina! Best location, best old design, appropriate prices. The staff is always there to help, they even helped when I had some car problems. Each room design is unique, mine had a javuzzi and a mountin view for example. You have different view depending on the room, and across the street there is the tourist office. Breakfast is really good and you have so many options to choose from. They also have parking in case you come by with a car or moto. Totally worth it! Hope to come back here again.

Would have given this a 5 star review but there was a couple of issues for improvement. In the bar, a local came in and it appeared he was trying to scam drinks from American visitors. It made several uncomfortable. The staff kind of laughed at him, but they probably should have asked him to stop or leave. He eventually left on his own. The safe didn't work and a staff member had to be called whenever it needed opened. Other than these two things, the hotel hit all marks and was excellent.
