Really nice hotel. The bed was super comfy. The staff were very friendly. It looks very nice but a bit outdated in bathroom appliances. It’s situated on a quiet street with a charming garden inside. I had La chambre style room and it just felt a little small but okay for one person. Diptyque shower gel and shampoo smelled amazing as well. Overall, it’s a good choice in this area if Paris.

An Absolute Gem in the Heart of Saint-Germain – A Perfect Anniversary Stay We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel de l’Abbaye Saint-Germain to celebrate our 30th anniversary, and I can’t imagine a more perfect Parisian experience. We booked the apartment-style room, which felt like a total unicorn in Paris—a two-level suite! The main floor had a cozy and elegant living room with a fireplace, a desk, a comfortable sofa, and a full bathroom. Then up a charming spiral staircase to the bedroom level, where we were greeted by a king-size bed (yes, a king bed in Paris!), another desk and sitting area, and a half bath. It felt more like a romantic Parisian pied-à-terre than a hotel room. The hotel itself oozes that 6th arrondissement charm—all the magic of Saint-Germain, but with refined touches of luxury and whimsy. You’re not in some sterile chain hotel—you’re in Paris, and you feel it in every detail: the garden courtyard, the classic yet cozy decor, and the warm, personalized hospitality. The front desk staff were delightful—kind, helpful, and genuinely invested in making our stay special. Housekeeping was delightful and impeccable including an Angelina's sweet on our pillow every.nIght. The breakfasts were divine: buttery croissants, perfect coffee, exquisite jams… and don’t even get me started on the butter—I’m still talking about it. Location? You can’t beat it. Just steps from Luxembourg Gardens, Saint-Sulpice, and Le Bon Marché (the best shopping in Paris, hands down). You’re within walking distance of all the top brasseries, boutiques, and Left Bank landmarks, and it’s an easy ride to the more tourist-heavy 1st arrondissement—but trust me, you’ll want to come “home” to the 6th every time. This hotel is romance, charm, and pure Parisian soul. We’ll be back, again and again. Merci, Hôtel de l’Abbaye, for an unforgettable anniversary. 💛

I came this morning for breakfast, which the hotel’s website clearly states is served until 12:00 PM. I arrived at 11:30, and there were still free tables. Yet a staff member told me flatly that breakfast was over — no apology, no explanation, just “it ends at 11:30.” Confused, I called the front desk. The person I spoke to confirmed at first that breakfast runs until 12:00. I was still on time. But when I mentioned what his colleague had told me, he shifted tone and added that maybe there was no more food left — a justification that felt improvised, and inconsistent with his initial answer. The whole situation left a very clear impression: this wasn’t about timing or availability. There’s a troubling ambiguity in how I was treated, and it’s hard not to suspect that other reasons — the kind no one will openly admit — might be at play
