Hotel del Sole

Myself and my partner had a fantastic stay here for 3 nights. The room was nice and clean and the staff were very lovely. A quick shout out to the hotel manager as she was there every morning at breakfast greeting guests and making everyone feel welcome. She had lots of recommendations for places to go and things to see in the area. The location was amazing, just across the road from Pompeii archaeological site and a short walk to the train stations and main town of Pompei. The breakfast was tasty and the coffee was even better. The breakfast room/cafe has beautiful views of Pompeii and was a lovely place to start our days. My only negative has little to do with the hotel itself but the restaurant attached to the hotel wasn't great. The meal was okay but quite expensive for what we had. Then the staff seemed to forget about us. It was busy but there was a lot of staff on that we could see. It may have been a different experience had we chosen half-board with the hotel. When we managed to get staff's attention they were lovely and did help us get what we wanted/needed, it was just unfortunate that between then we were waiting a while.

Beautiful hotel! The rooms are super spacious, the staff was very nice, and the ruins of Pompeii are walking distance! The only thing that kind of ruined the experience of this hotel was the shower; it clogged super easily, it was very cramped and had no place to put bathroom essentials, only the floor. I seriously enjoyed the rest of the experience though, breakfast was good, the pizza was great, my mom enjoyed the restaurant. Overall it was great! The shower is the only thing that needed fixing.

We enjoyed our stay at this quaint hotel directly across the street from the Pompeii ruins. The staff and service were exceptional to the point of the hotel manager welcoming everyone at breakfast and taking time to make sure we had everything we needed. You can't beat the location--after a hot 7 hour walk through the Pompeii ruins it was a true luxury to just walk across the street to our room and a refreshing shower. Several great dinner options are also just steps away.
