Awfull. 2 star in Europe....Old, dinne is a joke.

Disappointing Experience – More Like a One-Star Hotel The Diplomat Hotel in Tunis, sadly, feels like a relic of its past. The entire building is permeated with the smell of cigarette smoke and age – a combination that's hard to ignore. Rooms where smoking is permitted leave everything from the curtains to the bedding saturated with the odour. Whoever is in charge of cleaning is clearly doing their best, but it's a monumental task in such a worn environment. Electrical sockets were literally ripped from the walls, curtains and netting were visibly dirty, and the bedding gave the impression it had already been used. We were surprised when the reception insisted on cash payment, despite having expected to pay by card. Even though we had pre-ordered a taxi the night before, it became clear that the hotel staff were simply hailing one at the moment we came downstairs – not exactly reassuring for time-sensitive departures. The only redeeming feature was the Wi-Fi, which was surprisingly reliable. All in all, this is not a four-star hotel by any modern standard – it barely meets the expectations of a one-star establishment.

There is no way this hotel is a 4 star hotel!! Our room was dirty, the sheets were not changed as we got the room, the toilet not sealed and water flowed out, the breakfast was thrifty, there was no paper in any toilet in the hotel, a lot of things are damaged. I could go on with the flaws. We booked the room on site for an expensive price. Overall not worth the price. The staff was friendly though.
