Hotel Divinus

We stayed here with our kids, and it was a great choice. The location is perfect — right next to Nagyerdő Park and just a 5-minute walk from Aquaticum. The staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. Our room was clean, big, and very comfortable. The kids really enjoyed the playroom, and they loved the little sightseeing train that leaves from the hotel. Breakfast was tasty with lots of fresh food to choose from. We also had delicious dinners at the hotel restaurant, and on weekends the outdoor grill was a nice extra. The wellness area was very relaxing, with pools, saunas, and a jacuzzi. It’s a great place for families. We’d love to come back!

The hotel is like a resort, insanely comfortable. The staff has been amazing. The bartenders (Zsolt and Zoltan) have blown out minds. Better craft cocktails than we get back home, at less than half the price, and a smile on their face the whole time. I would happily stay here any time in in Debrecen.

I travel quite a lot – for example, this year alone I've spent one out of the past three months staying in hotels across seven different countries. I do this every year, and the year isn’t over yet. Among the dozens of hotels I’ve stayed in, *Divinus Hotel was the only one that charged for the in-room tea bags and coffee*, which you usually prepare yourself. This was surprising and quite disappointing. The room was a bit *overfurnished for our taste*, with heavy Louis XIV-style decor. That said, we understand many guests may actually appreciate this style, so it wasn’t a problem for us – just not our preference. On the positive side, *breakfast was rich and enjoyable*, with a good variety of options.
