Hotel do Canal

Location perfect. You get all that you can expect of a 4-star hotel. Staff was very kind and professional, in the restaurant they had some employees where i wasn't sure if they understand english, but we never had an issue. The a'la carte menu is not big but the meals were super delicious. The soups were average or above average, but the beef and the pork were really terrific. Considering that you can also choose from the bar menu, the choice variety is okay. The food and drinks are a bit pricy for the Azores. Breakfast was quite good, for 4 stars it can be improved though. The fitness and wellness area is not big, but was okay for us. The reception doesn't have a lobby, but on the 1st floor they have an enourmous one with a great view. We got some great presents in the room (maybe because we booked direct), a big thumbs up for the housekeeping. The room was spacious and super clean. The view was not perfect because of a tree in front of the mini-balcony (Pico view). We definitely advise to book here if you come to Horta.

Excellent hotel. Highly recommend. Great location for walking the city. Easy, free parking. Helpful, friendly staff. Beautiful accommodations. Very nice restaurant. We enjoyed the included breakfast very much. Would definitely recommend.
