The hotel is excellent – comfortable, clean, and located near the fortress and everything you might need, all within walking distance. Highly recommended for accommodation, probably the best in the city. The staff is pleasant, and the breakfast is divine.
Excellent service, a great location, and comfortable furnishings. Hotel Do Forte offers rooftop bar with plenty of seating options, an in house restaurant with a wide variety of offerings, and some unique features. Live entertainment in the street level entry, illuminated do not disturb indicator, and an outdoor workout space with a good selection of equipment. I would have given five stars for the room but there were no safes in the room for securing valuables. I did not have any issues while staying here. I would definitely stay here again.
Hotel do Forte is an okay hotel. It's in a good location and the staff is friendly and there's some amenities but if you don't speak Portuguese you're going to encounter slight issues. Surprised that hotels doesn't have any staff members that speak or at least understand English, Spanish or French (kindly would suggest hotel management should invest in their employees and have them trained in basic phrases in foreign languages). Small details are missed to make this a 4 star hotel in my opinion. My initial room still has the previous guest's soap in the shower, bed sheets are thin and look worn, tiles in the showers are very slippery. Water pressure seems to be an issue based on the time one takes a shower. Breakfast is decent with some options but otherwise very simple. For the amount spent, I'd prefer to spend it on an AirB&B which would be a larger space next time I'm in Macapà.
