Hotel do Mar

We recently stayed at this charming hotel in the Azores and had a delightful experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. The rooms were comfortable and spacious, offering spectacular views of the sea, which was a major highlight of the stay. The hotel's pool area was fantastic, with a nice pool and a hot jacuzzi, perfect for relaxation. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a variety of options to start the day right. The location is ideal for those looking to explore the tranquil and picturesque village of Povoação, with easy access to local attractions like the Furnas village, its lagoon, hot springs, and beautiful gardens. Additionally, the nearby hiking trails and waterfalls provide ample opportunities for outdoor activities. However, there's one area that needs improvement: the coffee served at breakfast!! it is quite bad :) It would be great if the hotel could listen to its guests' feedback and improve the coffee quality, as many have mentioned this issue in many reviews. Overall, it’s a fantastic place to stay, especially for families with kids. I would rate it 5 out of 5.

Thank you all, especially Anna for her patience in helping us get there when navigation was wrong twice! Absolutely beautiful view of the ocean. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool area needs some TLC but all in all very comfortable and convenient. Everyone was very friendly :)

Check-in was easy and smooth and Room was clean & tidy. Breakfast was nice with collection of bread, cheese, jams. Fruit, eggs and meat were there as well. Location is good in the center of the town and facing the ocean. Also, it is close to many attractions in the east side of the island. Free street parking is available in front of the hotel.
