Hotel Dock Suites Rome

The hotel staff was amazing and very helpful. They gave us maps and excellent directions on how to take the metro to get to the Colosseum and the Vatican. The rooms were clean, spacious, and the air-conditioning cooled off the large apartment style rooms we stayed in. Our experience was so wonderful, my family (2 Adults, 1 toddler, 2 teenagers) and I have already booked a second trip to Rome for fall 2018, and we will be staying at the Dock Hotel again.... It's a great place to stay if your traveling with children.

I stayed at Dock hotel for three nights. On arrival there was an issue with the door key-this was sorted straight away. The following day our safe unfortunately did not open and we had all our valuables including cash in it, this was fixed the day after. The beds are very comfortable and the room was very sound proof. Definitely would stay again.

The location wasn't ideal, but we made it work. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor and my elderly father slipped...TWICE! What really threw me off is that, upon check-in, I was asked to sign a blank piece of paper, being told that the clerk would personally fill in my passport details after I get to my room. He REFUSED to allow me to do it and would not allow me to sign it AFTER I reviewed it for accuracy. He ended up filling it out before I signed it, but did so as he was accusing me of thinking he was going to fill in false information. He was extremely rude and made me feel uncomfortable, effectively causing me to second guess my choice in booking. He stated that I wouldn't be refunded for the hotel and it won't bother him if I choose to go elsewhere. My father was exhausted, so we opted to stay. Being on the ground floor, I was very upset to see that when we returned to the room, each day, the maid kept opening the windows, THAT I KEPT CLOSING AND LOCKING, which granted access to anyone wanted to obtain entry to my room. I'm giving it two stars because the room was huge! That is the only thing this hotel has going for it.
