Hotel Dolomiti Schloss

After visiting Canazei previously for skiing I had seen the Dolomiti from the outside and wanted to stay there on my next trip. I was a little concerned by some of the reviews for this hotel but really need not have worried. The hotel is charming (not faded) and the bedroom clean and well set out. It's an old building so be prepared to explore to find your way around and change levels if you are staying in the modern annex at the rear. The staff are great and very helpful, once you accept that there will be some language confusion every so often. The food has been excellent and reasonably varied for a mountain resort ( I've had both the buffet breakfast and evening meals (chosen from a menu the day before)). All in all, it's a great place to stay in Canazei and I am very happy to be here.

Great value for money, nice hotel, stunning structure with amazing decor, extremely well located. Comfortable beds, blankets, clean bathrooms with good water pressure. It has a gym, a spa, friendly receptionist, a bar, and a restaurant. The restaurant is ok for dinner, the goulash was decent, but that's all we had really. The only complaint is that our room smells like cigarettes, some smokers must have stayed here previously.

The hotel is getting worse year by year. I have been coming here for 10 years now but it’s the last time. The rooms are outdated and in bad shape. The breakfast is ridiculously low quality. All the products are old and already at 7.30 most of it is gone. The staff is very unfriendly and unprofessional.
