We loved staying at Hotel Donny as part of a large Team Canada group. The staff was exceptional! So friendly and helpful. They helped us with planning a day trip to Bruges. The included breakfast was fantastic with so many hot and cold options that were delicious. We were spoiled by the pancakes, fresh squeezed orange juice and the best tasting scrambled eggs. Our room was spacious and well appointed for the three of us staying together. Location - close to the ocean and trolley station to Plopsaland. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel.
Nice hotel a mere 5m from the beach. Parts of the hotel are a little dated in feel (more the decor than upkeep) but we had a nice stay. Staff friendly and welcoming and speak a number of languages. Breakfast was simple but very pleasant. Evening meal (half-board) was tasty, but no apparent option for alternative options (we were all served the same thing). They seemed more flexible for young ones. We would happily stay here again.
Mixed feelings… very friendly and helpful staff at the reception vs. one at breakfast, who thought he had to prescribe me, which glass to use for juice(!). Room very spacious and well equipped (just minimal rq’ments for 4* though; 4me only 3,5*). Sauna not warm & hammam shut off at 7pm??? Rich breakfast buffet. Super location & free parking in the lot. 🤔 “Traditional family hotel” or „old glory“???
