We were a family of five staying one night on our way to Slovakia, and Hotel Dorfmühle was a perfect stop. The area is quite beautiful, the beds were very comfortable, and the breakfast was fresh and nicely presented. A lovely and relaxing stay!
For me 10/10. After week on BT sleeping in outdated German hotels, this was like an oasis to me. Piece and quite room. Had really good sleep. Nice people too. Good views in the morning. Will come back.
I expected much more from this hotel. After looking at countless reviews, I thought I would enjoy a nice comfy room but instead found it dirty and thus uncomfortable. I am not sure if the room was cleaned before I arrived. The heat was also off on a cold wet and rainy day so I had to wait for the room to heat up. Once heated it felt very warm and nice. Housekeeping during the stay was sporadic. Not sure if entry was to spy on the room or to truly clean and replenish items, as only the towels were changed on day one, only one towel was changed on day two, and no housekeeping at all on day three. Granted, day three was a federal holiday, however I feel like I should be notified of limited housekeeping service or changes in the service. The room was pet friendly, and there is plenty of space and paths to walk your dog. Breakfast was nice in a gorgeous and cozy space with a small but sufficient spread of breads, meats, cheeses, eggs, and even lachs. Breakfast attendant was very attentive and responsive to everyone. Despite the room cleanliness concerns, the grounds are beautiful, I can imagine how nice in the summer! The hotel is gorgeous from the outside, takes you back to the past with a modern touch. Plenty of beautiful Maybe it’s best to stay during the peak season when there is more happening, more staff, and more staff on hand to pay attention to cleanliness.
