My husband and I stayed here for (unfortunately) only one night. We absolutely loved the place! It was so charming, beautiful, and romantic. Our room was the Indian room, and it was lovely. The breakfast was delicious. It was a full buffet of pastries, milk, juice, coffee, cheeses and meats, bread and difference jams, etc. just the most adorable and yummy French breakfast. The actual grounds of the bed and breakfast were stunning. We walked around their property for a nice morning walk. There are statues, water fountains and pools with koi. Wisteria and other blossoming plants and trees. The whole establishment was beautiful. We had only booked for one night, and I wished we could have stayed there several nights. I now want to go back to Arles just to stay at this place again. We also really appreciated the lady who greeted us when we checked in, Andrea. We had received a text saying the reception would close at 8 pm and it gave us the information to open the security gate and how to find our room since we would be arriving later than that. However, we arrived about 8:30 pm and Andrea was still there waiting for us. She walked us through everything we needed to know about the hotel and gave us a little tour. She even gave us a map of Arles and had made notes on it and circled places to park and best places to eat. She was super sweet and really appreciated all she did. There are also two beautiful German shepherds that come to greet you when you arrive and a cat that we adored. All that to say, we were so impressed with our stay and will recommend to any couple that wants a relaxing, romantic bed and breakfast.
This place is at a tipping point, sitting down on its past glory. They need to put the price down or start refurbishing it especially the bathrooms. Please give love to the wonderful garden. Nota Bene: if you come, bring anti-mostiquo products!!
This place has a very special "Genius Loci", it's own special character with Africa touches, castle-like interiors. Big garden. Great, really rich breakfast. And fantastic personnel. All interactions we had with all the people were really nice, very pleasant, thank you! But ... We had very bad room. Far far away from 4**** hotel. You don't expect to have those retractable plastic curtains in your bathroom, combined with ages old pipes and water taps. Curtains in the rooms not to touch because they were not cleaned for ages too. And the garden...must have been nice in the past but is not maintained, dirty ponds giving the rise to huge amount of mosquitos. No, this was not a good deal for the money we paid.
