Hotel du Nord Alster auf der Uhlenhorst SELF CHECK IN

We arrived in Hamburg at 8 PM together with our cats. We chose to stay the night there. Around 8:45 PM, the reception called to ask if I could arrive soon because they were closing at 9 PM (I don’t remember the exact time). I chose to park the car in their garage, but street parking is also available for those who prefer it. Everything was wonderful — the rooms were comfortable, there was a minibar, and everything was clean and elegant.

Staff was very welcoming, smiling, caring and helpful. Location is just perfect as the neighborhood is quiet and there is a bus stop right there so you are at the main train station in about 5 minutes. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good and it was great that freshly prepared eggs were offered. In addition they had a home baked lemon pie. The lady in the restaurant was so nice 🥰 Everyone at a reception were very pleasant and the cleaning ladies as well. Thank you very much for everything!

the hotel is ok, with good room. quite impossible to park the car but there is a privat parking (20 euro). the big problem was with the check in: the key system wasn’t working, and we only got into the room at midnight after waiting for a technician. No one bothered to apologize, not even to the other customers affected. When I pointed out the issue, instead of basic courtesy, we were met with arrogance (same situation sharing the feedback with their customer care) We chose this hotel for business clients, and it left a terrible impression. There are definitely better options in Hamburg
