Lovely hotel in the heart of Madrid. The team were lovely, personable and helpful at all times. During check-in, walking in and out of the hotel, during breakfast and at check-out. Rooms are perfectly sized and very comfortable. Cosy and practical decor. Highly recommend!
Very nice hotel with a great brunch. The space is beautiful, and the French food (crêpes, pain perdu, etc.) was good, not exceptional but still pretty good. The live music added a lovely touch to the experience. The staff was very friendly, but the service was quite slow—we waited 40 minutes for our dishes and another 30 minutes for dessert. It was a long wait, but overall, it was still an enjoyable brunch.
Air con would not cool the room. The lowest temperature during my stay was 25.7 degrees with a portable fan they offered me. They offered me three other rooms but the temperature was same in each. I paid in advance for 10 nights ($4,000 AUD) and left after the first night to another hotel (where the air con was effective) so I could be comfortable and enjoy my time in Madrid. The management didn’t offer me a single Euro in compensation and wouldn’t even deal with me directly in person or by email. The staff were helpless.
