Hotel Edelweiss

My wife and I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Poiana and stay at Edelweiss. It is very conveniently located in "the grove" of Poiana. Right out of the front door is Bradul and all the ski shops you could need. All the restaurants you could want are walking distance. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean and well maintained. The bar and restaurant are very comfortable and the service is top notch. Reception was accommodating and helped us get reservations at the most famous places in town as well as organizing transportation for us as needed. There is also an equipment room in the lower level where guests can store their ski and snowboard gear for easy access. The rooms are all very nicely decorated and maintained. I am looking forward to my next stay when I get the chance.

Nice, clean place, great view from the balcony. What leaves to be desired is the restaurant menu, which is definitely meat based and the fact that the very few vegetarian courses are never available. But over all it was a very pleasant experience.

This is an ok hotel, but not 4 stars. During our stay, the room was incredibly hot. And there was no air conditioning nor fans. Also the windows didn't fully open, just a small crack, not enough to vent the room. But there were no bug nets so if you'd leave the window open you'd find your room full of insects. This might be a nice winter hotel, but definately not a 4 star hotel on summer time. And definately not worth your money
