Hotel Eden Palace au Lac

The view is spectacular! The common rooms are stunning. I wish that the rooms had showers rather than tubs. The standard room with the lake view was small but the view spectacular. Jorge, the assistant manager, was amazingly helpful. The breakfast was extensive. The bus system that took us into some of the sites was easy to navigate.

I don’t usually go for larger hotels, but the location was important for us (jazz festival). I really, really recommend getting a room with a lake view as the lake and mountains were beautiful and having a balcony made it even better!!! The property was super clean and well-maintained. The bed was very comfortable and the room had air-conditioning. Staff were lovely and helpful, and the continental breakfast was decent (nice dining room too). A few downsides to be aware of... Re. room: no mini bar, no tea/coffee, no "extras" that you might expect for the price, and the bathroom was so so. Re. breakfast: no extras either, coffee is from a standard self-service machine and no à la carte menu (it's all self service), which is fine, but again, for the price there are no extras. I think the high price is all for the location and the building itself. Overall though still a really great hotel and I'd stay again.

The hotel location is great and right in front of the lake. We booked a junior suite with balcony view. Basic room, not much to it, except for the view to the lake. Unfortunately we had a malfunction on the window blinds, so access to the balcony was not possible. Also, went to the sauna and there was not a chair to seat in the area , and inside the sauna the electric outlet was uncovered , which I found very strange from a place like this. The restaurant serves very nice casual food and I definitely recommend the Hamburgers! The breakfast has a variety of great choices !
