Hotel Eden Roc The Leading Hotels of the World

We stopped in for a private event and stayed for drinks on the patio afterwards. What a beautiful location right on the lake with great views from the restaurants and patios. Service was very attentive and efficient. Drinks and appetizers are what you would expect from this caliber of property. If we didn't live a couple blocks away, this would be the place to stay when visiting Ascona!

Quite possibly my new favorite hotel in the world. From the moment you enter it is an exceptional and magical experience. The lemon tree lined driveway leads you to a stunningly designed lobby, with views of the lake just on the other side of the beautiful stone terrace beckoning you. The entire property is dotted with jasmine trees, perfuming the terraces and lawns. The rooms, while snug, are beautifully designed. As usual in Europe the air conditioning could be better, but the trick was to close the storm blinds during the day which helped greatly. There are three pools, as well as steps that lead directly into the lake. The breakfast was divine and with perfect execution and service. Every one of their restaurants had perfectly executed dishes, with tender fish pulled from the lake that day alongside seasonal vegetables and local herbs. The staff was all incredibly kind and so helpful in every regard. Can’t wait to return

Beautiful location and nice staff, but very disappointed overall. The “AC” they advertise doesn’t work at all, and no fans are provided — extremely uncomfortable. They also fail to mention when events like weddings are happening, which means restaurants, bars, and the dock were all closed during our stay. It would be nice if they were upfront about these things before booking.
