Hotel Eden Soller

The hotel rooms were spacious and clean on arrival. Daily room cleaning was spotty as was service at reception... it depended on the agent who was on. While the hotel was right on the beach, it was not a beach resort. The beach was not part of the hotel and you had to pay for chaises etc. Also, there were not nearly enough chairs by the pool to accommodate the size of the hotel. But it was very convenient to shops and restaurants.

I’m very curious if people giving 4 or 5 stars have ever visited an actual 4 star hotel because this hotel is sub 4 star. On a good day I guess a 3 would be more appropriate based on an amazing location and decent breakfast. The thing that annoys me the most is that the hotel allows for visitors to leave their towels on the sun beds all day - they say they don’t but they do. Unless you take a sun bed at 9 am you won’t get one. Luckily the beach is great but sometimes a few hours but the pool is preferred. The lifeguards who are supposed to be there take super long breaks and are consistently gone before 6 pm which is the official time they should leave. On one occasion he left at 5.30 pm. Some staff are nice. Others seem like they rather die than be working at the hotel. Room cleaning is okay but it’s not really cleaning just making the bed and giving you fresh towels. Note parking is 10 eur a day in a nearby parking house with sparsely room for cars so if you arrive in the afternoon it can be tricky to get a spot. I wanted to address my points to the manager of the hotel but wasn’t possible to talk to that person. I wouldn’t recommend a stay at the hotel nor would I return in the future. If you expect a 4 star experience you’ll be disappointed. If you just want a decent hotel near the beach it’s great - but then there are other economical options to choose from.

Cons: -Rooms werent cleaned well - dirty cups weren’t exchanged for new ones and crumbs on the floor and tables. -Sunbeds all reserved first thing in the morning. We had to set up camp in the dining area whilst we went swimming for majority of our stay. -Shower fluctuates between hot and cold. -Lots of kids splashing about so good for families, not ideal if looking for quiet and peace -Food and drinks not great quality Pros: -Great location -Good amount of sun in swimming area -Good pool side service Overall wouldn’t recommend, not 4 star quality and think price was expensive for what it was
