Hotel Eden Spiez

This hotel is an absolute gem. It feels completely five stars from the friendliness of the people to the quality of everything the breakfast, the spa, the pool and the beautiful rooms. The front desk staff is so friendly thank you especially to Alex and everyone for making me feel so at home. I would recommend this to anybody travelling to Switzerland for the first time or to get more acquainted with the lake Thun region. The views are gorgeous and you have everything you could possibly want in this hotel. I really enjoyed it and felt VIP.

Loved my stay here! Staff was friendly and accommodating, and I appreciated the shuttle service to/from the train station. Breakfast options were generous, and it was relaxing to come back home to a spa at the end of the day. The view of the lake from the balcony is unmatched. Air conditioning here can take awhile to cool the entire room but got the job done. They also provide 2 bottles of water everyday!

Good location and amazing view… just don’t expect a warm welcome. After a long day of travel, we were hoping for some friendly hospitality—especially at this price point and based on the glowing reviews. Instead, the front desk staff greeted us with cold stares, attitude, and a guilt trip for needing the sofa bed made. For what it’s worth, we’ve stayed at plenty of hotels with the same request and were never met with this kind of attitude. Not sure if that was the issue or if we just showed up at a bad time. To be fair, the other staff seemed nice, but that first impression really set the tone, and we didn’t have much interaction with anyone else after that. Also worth noting: no air conditioning, and no pickup from the train station if you arrive after 5 PM. Definitely not the experience we were expecting.
