We stayed here for a few nights for a friend's wedding. Room was really nice and spacious and cleaned really well each day. Food and drinks were really good, roof top bar was nice and relaxing and you had access to a beach club at other side of water, the hotel had a little boat that dropped you off and picked you up anytime between 9am and 6pm. Staff were very friendly and only to happy to help if you needed something. We enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend this place to anyone
I was very excited to visit this hotel as pictures show beautiful location, and artwork. Overall, the hotel is nice rooms are unique. The beds are very hard. The location of hotel is in a poor area. The artwork was underwhelming and sparse and basic in many places. They require a huge thousand dollar deposit upon arrival and anything you eat or drink in the hotel has an additional huge 31% charge on top, so basically, any money you were planning on spending at the hotel is now unavailable because of this huge charge upfront. I encourage anyone who books here to read the fine print before you choose to stay here. Needless to say, we did not eat or drink much at this hotel because we couldn't afford their fees. We went elsewhere and had delicious drinks & meals in San Jose Del Cabo area. The rooftop pool closes early at 8 o'clock, which was also disappointing. The staff were all kind and attentive.
We were frustrated with the service at the rooftop pool - staff often were stood chatting and on their phones and it was difficult to get their attention. This was worsened by the fact there is a mandatory 15% service charge added to every food and drink item for poor service. We had building work going on underneath our room every day which wasn’t relaxing at all. We asked the staff about this and they told us it would only be 9-6 every day. It started much earlier than this and finished later. The staff offered no solution even though the hotel felt empty (I’m sure there must have been spare rooms). We didn’t even get an apology until we really pushed for a solution (again none given). We also had several issues with our room ever- flickering lights in the night made sleep difficult. These were fixed but another light quickly developed the same issue so rather than fixing it they just took away the ability to use that light… Turndowns happened some days but not others. They sell day passes for outside guests (of which a considerable amount goes to a bar/food tab). It makes you feel a little cheated as a guest staying in the hotel as it meant the rooftop often was full of day guests who were often loud and drunk. There is no preferential access to loungers etc for paying hotel guests. Prices were pretty steep for the quality of drinks. The hotel facilities are great, particularly the pool and beach club. Many of the staff are friendly and attentive. A few had poor attitudes and were unhelpful. Overall this has potential to be an awesome place to say, just sadly it wasn’t for us.
