Hotel El Pedral

Very small boutique hotel in a remote but very nive and unique location. It is a protected area / natural reserve. The place is just great to relax and disconnect. They offer an excursion to see elephant seals and another one to see penguins. The food is great and represents patagonic cuisine. The service is unique and uncomparable to any other place I've visited. They really make you feel special.

Would highly recommend this day tour. We chose it over visiting Puerto Tombo, and were glad we did. Picks you up in Madryn at 830 am and takes you to a private tour of the reserve with 15k penguins (approx 2 hr drive). We had a knowledge guide (Spanish and English) and about 1.5 with the penguins. Feels private and we saw thousands of penguins. We also had a delicious lunch at the estancia. Very quiet beautiful farmhouse. You can stay the night too. Very isolated, so perfect if you just want a quiet place to chill, eat well, and swim + see penguins!

My husband and I had our elopement at El Pedral Estancia and visited for a few days. It is a truly magical place and we highly recommend to anyone on their trip through Patagonia to stay for a couple days or more. The value is easily justified by the comfortable and beautiful accommodations, stunning location, unique landscapes, the many excursions and activities included, incredible staff, as well as the fantastic abundance of meals, food, and drinks. We were greeted on our first night by the host Camilla, whom throughout our stay was kind, friendly, lively, supportive, and we shared many good laughs. All the employees at El Pedral are fantastic and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable, as if you are part of the family. The close interactions among the massive penguin colony was also very special and one of our favourites of the many great experiences we had. The owner Silvina and her friends, as well as the El Pedral staff made such significant contributions to ensure our Wedding day was perfect and we were deeply touched by that. We feel very grateful to have chosen El Pedral for our elopement. It by far exceeded our expectations and was a major highlight of our 2 month Patagonia travels.
