Hotel El Ruha

Lovely hotel. Our room had a massive balcony. We appreciated the restaurant that had an extensive variety of dinner options. Sadly, no alcohol is available anywhere at the hotel or surrounding restaurants, though lovely area to walk around and explore with a short walk from the hotel.

What a wonderful hotel!! The service is spectacular and the rooms and hotel are so comfortable and clean! It's super centrally located (right by balıklıgöl) and all the big şanliurfa sites are walking distance. The very best thing was the staff. We were given the best and kindest treatment. We're particularily greatful for Ömer Bağmancı, who made sure we had everything we needed and even switched us to a nicer room. His English is excelent and he was so, so helpful and kind. He helped us arrange our trip to Mt. Nemrut with the hotel's really great and affordable taxi driver Ibrahim. Definitely go to Mt. Nemrut if you stay here and ask for Ibrahim to drive you if you don't have a car. He's a great driver. We also want to thank Mustafa Kögebe and Serdar Bey'e for being so friendly and helpful. We're so happy we stayed here!

Nice historic hotel in the heart of Şanlıurfa; close proximity to the Urfa Archeological Museum and the Balıklı Göl - lake where according to the biblical story Prophet Abraham was slain. Breakfast was average- cheese selection let the full Turkish breakfast experience down. The hotel restaurant serves a full menu with delicious local delicacies. The only negative thing is the quality of the central air in certain rooms. The hotel overnight manager Ömer and floor attendant Mahmut solved our cooling issues. Check out the sitting areas carved into the rock.
