Hotel Elbresidenz an der Therme Bad Schandau

I had a very pleasant stay in the Hotel Elbresidenz in Bad Schandau. The room's (Junior Suite) spacious and therefire fits its chosen category very well. All necessary amenities are available. As the minibar was empty, because I didn't choose a minibar package beforehand, I think it would be filled anyway with some standard drinks and snacks to choose from, but this ain't a big issue. Dinner in the restaurant was good, and a visit to the bar later on turned out to be a great idea due to the excellent service and cocktail there. Staff is very professional and kind in all places. If you want to start your day early with a hike, I'd recommend having breakfast in your room (room service), which is available half an hour earlier than the breakfast buffet, for a little extra charge. As Bad Schandau is also participating I the "Gästekarte Sächsische Schweiz MOBIL" (Guest Card Sächsische Schweiz MOBILE), public transport by bus and most trains in the region is free (it's paid for through the solidary Tourist Levy scheme), even with most ferries (exceptions apply, e.g. Ferry in Rathen). All in all full recommendation for a stay in the Hotel and in Bad Schandau.

We had an amazing experience there at the hotel! -The hotel is located by the river (and ferry). -The staff members are friendly and give us all the information we need. -The room was clean and it provided shampoo and soap. -Breakfast is varied, and you can sit outside in the garden and enjoy your morning coffee. Once you arrive there, they will give you a ticket which you can use to travel in the Saxon region. You can use that ticket to take a bus, train, and ferry to the Bastei Bridge, except the ferry between Rathen-Bastei. It was very convenient. All guest members are allowed to go into the Toskana Therme spa. It has so many pool areas inside but we love the ’liquid sound’ the most. There is a restaurant inside, and you will use the ship that you received at the beginning to tap it and pay later when you leave the spa so no need to carry money inside. There is also a pool located in the same building as the rooms. There is a pool and a sauna (nude). If you don't like noise, please book the room by the riverside side otherwise you will hear the church's clock every hour.

A great hotel for a peaceful weekend. Helpful staff, perfect food - a la carte menu and delicious breakfast. Free thermal spa entry and lots of nature around. We will definitely come again.
