Hotel Ellique

What an amazing experience. Ellie was top class from the start meeting us on arrival and engaging in interesting conversations but knowing when to leave us to enjoy our temp home. Rooms was spacious, clean and comfortable. Location was quiet but close to old town and major attractions. She also provided great places for meals and all were greatly enjoyed. She made us breakfast even with early departure and ensured we had our ride to airport. Could not recommend this place more. So glad such places and people still can be found.

Quaint rooms with lovely flooring and antique furniture. Friendly (and well traveled) owner who was happy to point out places of interest on the map, places to eat, etc. Lovely courtyard for breakfast. Breakfast included the best fruit salad I have ever had, plus delicious apple pastry. Located in the old town. The owner transported our luggage from the gate to the hotel (instead of us dragging the cases along cobbled paths - which wouldn't have been good for the wheels). The air-conditioner in the room actually worked. It blew out cold air, then stopped when the desired temperature was reached, then turned on again when needed. A month in the Mediterranean and this is the first efficiently working AC in a hotel room - which was lovely after working up a sweat walking through the old town. The tap water in the room in is safe to drink and refill water bottles. The internet connection (via in-room WIFI) is pretty fast too. I really recommend this hotel.

Hotel Ellique is amazing. Ellie, who is the owner is a lovely person and she designed and decorated every element of the hotel with a unique taste & quality. I am so glad we decided to stay there for our honeymoon vacation in Rhodes. She has been very welcoming to us, and extremely helpful every step of the way. She picked us up from the outer gates of the town and carried our luggages all the way to the hotel with her scooter motor, which would have been otherwise a very challenging walk for us on the medieval cobblestones of the town. She then provided us with useful tips and very nice suggestions about where to visit, and eat. We found her recommendations really good! The details of every room, the patio, floor have a story behind and are very beautiful. She did an amazing job staying true to the historical & architectural fabric of the old town. We were served a very tasty breakfast every morning and Ellie remembered all our wishes from the previous day :) It was such a friendly and warm atmosphere during the breakfast, as we got the chance to chat with her and also with her lovely friends. The hotel is situated like a relaxing oasis in the middle of old town, with the perfect walking distance to all interesting sites. It has been perfect, cannot recommend it enough! We definitely want to go back there one day and stay again. Thank you so much, Ellie!
