We are so grateful to Paula and her team at the Encinar for providing such a wonderful stay for our wedding guests! From the moment we began coordinating room block, the team were incredibly helpful, accommodating, and responsive to all of our questions and needs. Our guests had nothing but great things to say—the rooms were clean and comfortable, the amenities were fantastic, and the location was super convenient to everything we needed. The front desk team and hotel staff went out of their way to make everyone feel welcome, and they made the entire experience seamless for us. It meant so much to know our friends and family were well taken care of during such a special weekend. We couldn’t have asked for a better home base for our wedding celebration. Huge thanks to the entire team - highly recommend them for any special occasion!
Continuous road noise in the outside areas, other than that a nice hotel, the staff are great, the food is excellent and large portions. Rooms are modern and comfortable. We have been driving past it regularly for 26 years, and it's the first time we've been in it. We'll stay again when we need to come back to Sotogrande.
We stayed here for 2 weeks while our son was at a nearby summer golf camp. Service was almost non existent here except for some exemplars. The rooms were ok but the second room we were in constantly had ants. They nickel and dime you for everything so bring your own coffee pods. My wife had a terrible experience in the lobby by awkward non existent staff where she was there almost every evening working and was told after maybe the 5th night that she can’t have her own drink there after never having been offered any service. Restaurant for breakfast is ok but has absolutely no variety. Dinner on the other hand was horrible and terribly overpriced, I ordered the pork and my wife ordered the fish for dinner and they came with the exact same sides which didn’t go with either of the mains. My son ordered bbq chicken wings which were deep fried… Only thing this hotel has going for it is that it was one of the lesser expensive hotels in the area but I guess you get what you pay for.
