Hotel Envia Almería Spa & Golf

Lovely spa day with really good facilities, would recommend at least 2 hours to get full use if everything. Each feature in the spa has a number to guide you through the best order to use them in, with descriptions in English and Spanish. Flip flops, a towel and a swimming cap are required, but can be rented from reception. Really friendly staff.

This is a lovely hotel and the apartments were clean and comfortable. We stayed the week before Easter and the place was empty though. The pool and shuttle bus were not open as it was out of season (?) So we were cut off from everywhere as we had no car. Ot was a €60 trip to town in a taxi and €30 to the nearest shops. The reception staff were very helpful and the cleaning ladies efficient and polite. The food was standard fare buffet style but you had to be there early if you wanted it hot. The waiters were not part of the good experience as they didn't interact at all, didn't clear your table, didn't seat you, and generally made you feel like you were just an inconvenience to them getting off home. The one exception was a convey lady of colour who made the ommlettes/eggs/pancakes etc who was a ray of sunshine in the dining room at breakfast. The golf course was invariably empty which was a shame as it's a good course with challenges for all levels, but like the hotel it seems it's past it's hayday, Empty water features, scrubby areas and broken up cart paths just slightly detracting from a great experience. Overall, if you want a clean, quiet, escape with a couple of rounds of golf then it's ok. If you want to do more, get a car or stay somewhere less remote.

Hotel was Beautiful and nice, room was big and clean. Bed unfortunately very uncomfortable, - you can hear the neighbors… Pool inside was very nice and water was heated. Food “alacarte “ was very bad and tasted nothing. The nature outside beautiful. Breakfast great, you can make your own omelette
