We had a great stay at Erika. The ski bus stops right in front of the hotel, literally in front of the door of the ski-depot of the hotel. The food was of very good quality and had plenty of choice everyday, well balanced dishes with enough vegetables. The wellness is way above the average hotel, with 5 different sauna's of good size and a nice swimming pool. Staff is really friendly and we had a nice view from our room at the fortress. Would certainly recommend for a stay in Nauders!

The hotel facilities are without compare - the room was enormous and it was well cleaned. The sauna and swimming pool were an unexpected extra that I could appreciate. The location - right next to the bus stop headed for the village as well as the slopes - impeccable. I have but one point of critique, and that is one that applies to all of Austria. When I come to breakfast a minute early, or a minute late, I am barred from entering. That part of the hospitality business can definitely be improved upon. Other than that, my stay was above and beyond expectation.

The idea is that this feedback could be useful not only for next travellers but especially for the kind family, owner and conductor of the Hotel. Indeed, it is a calm and nice family devoted to the hotel operation since decades (it seems). However, in particular in comparison with other structures in the nearby Austria land or in Vinschgau (we love this region and its mountains thus we stayed in a number of hotels), the Erika Hotel is not at the level one could expect. Many details from the food presentation and richness to the quality and the level of cooking, from the scarcity of typical homemade foods (at breakfast) to the behaviour and readyness of the service which is familiar but perhaps too much for a 4star structure; all above tends to conclude that there are some aspects for improvement. In this way this very large structure, easy to reach and with good rooms, could reach the promised and expected rank especially for week-long stays. Alternatively, one can hope to get a cheaper rate more adequate to the overal condition.
