We spent a week at the Erzherzog Johann as a family, and we absolutely loved it. Very friendly hosts, truly great staff, and excellent service. The dinner, a 4-5 course menu, was outstanding, with varied and delicious dishes each time. The outdoor pool was wonderful, slightly heated, and totally enjoyable. Thanks to the entire team for the wonderful time! We'll be back.
Well-maintained four-star hotel with a pool and sauna area. We were just across the street for an aperitif. Very friendly service. A pleasant atmosphere! It's a shame the terrace doesn't offer a great view, as hedges block the view. However, hotel guests can enjoy it from the pool. Nice drinks menu at reasonable prices.
We stayed 2 nights in this hotel. We were a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids. What is written below has been shared with the hotel. Positive points: - beautiful location - wide range of activities that can be done: mountain trips, bike rides, playgrounds/adventure parks, spas, cultural visits. The valley really offers a lot. - the food was good - very good bar/restaurant service - spacious and clean rooms - very beautiful swimming pools, whirlpool and solarium Negative points: - the beds: it had never happened to us but both the adults' bed (which we thought was too soft) and the children's bed (which was the sofa bed) were uncomfortable. We placed the children's mattress on the floor to make it more comfortable - hot in the room - to us the service seemed unkind and unpatient I put some anecdotes below (they are all small details, no one dies but they make one not feel welcomed): - charge of the electric car, which on paper should have been 0.43 kWh, therefore total 24 euros, instead they charged us 27 - room booked for 4 people directly with them (without intermediaries), and we got 3 towels or 3 bathrobes - they gave us a room with a parking view (passed off as "mountain view") on the first floor right above the reception - room 115 to avoid - upon arrival at the hotel, you are provided with vouchers for a free aperitif, where they tell you that you can order any drink (in reality when you go to the bar you can choose between juices, coca or fanta, or prosecco, beer or apple spritz) - one of the evenings, the salad buffet looked like the locusts had passed through. When I asked if they could add cabbage or mozzarella, it was added, but let's say that the answer was not given kindly or even immediately. In general, I don't think there is a desire to hold the different buffets with all the dishes, there isn't this type of attention
